There are two levels of Referees/Assistant Referees and Judges - ISU Championships (Worlds, Junior Worlds, Europeans and 4CCs) and International Competitions - to which judges and referees receive appointments, in each of the following categories - Figure Skating (Singles & Pairs), Ice Dancing and Synchronized Skating.
Referees can judge the level they are appointed.
Ice Dancing Referees can referee any event (singles, pairs or ice dancing) at the level they are appointed.
Ice Dancing Judges can judge any event (singles, pairs or ice dancing) at the level they are appointed.
